Fedora 33 was released about two months ago. Today to welcome the new year of 2021, I upgraded my Fedora OS to the latest version.
I was starting using Fedora in 2008 with version 8 (Werewolf), and since there I just use it for my work and life.
About Hardware
I use an HP ProDesk and Dell Latitude 3500 with Fedora. Both were equipped with core i5 8th Gen, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD drive.
About Software
I am a Software Developer and develop applications on Drupal or other PHP frameworks. Sometimes I write the script bash or by python. So I usually use vscode and vim for editor and sometimes simple editor as geany or gedit as well. I apply Android Studio to the Flutter application. Docker is implemented to run services and install git to manage the source version.
In the office, I use LibreOffice Writer, LibreOffice Calc, LibreOffice Impress to make documents, sheets, and slides. Dropbox is to manage document versions. For sending and receiving emails, I have a ThunderBird. For collaborating with friends and colleagues, I have Skype, Telegram, Slack, Rocket Chat.
I also have Gimp, Inkscape, Dia to make and edit photos, diagrams, and My paint to draw simple shapes.
In the spare time, I sometimes play SuperTuxKart with my son. It is so interesting. In general, Fedora is awesome, there are so many other applications to let you move on.
Fedora 33
Though not related to the article, there are two things I like after upgrade to Fedora 33. One is the wallpaper default, and the other is LibreOffice version 7.0 with exciting improve. And more great info here.
Finally, Let's enjoy. Be safe and happy new year.
